CoC MG-APS Energy Management - Lisbon is an international nearshore competence center, which acts as an extension of Siemens Headquarters supporting several regions world-wide, providing Siemens AG with innovative solutions and high-quality services across the IT value chain focused on the development of Microgrid and Energy Storage applications and use cases. We work in over 5 applications, systems and projects ranging from infrastructure services for IT platforms up to data analytics, achieving an unprece-dentedly high level of customer satisfaction.

What are my responsibilities?

  • You will be responsible for the development and operationalization, in close coordination with Headquarters and Mindsphere Application Centers together with the project responsible, on the identification and implementation, in close coordination with the software development team, of replicable of use cases that bring added and business value to end clients, for applications related with Microgrid applications, such as MaaS (Microgrid-as-a-Service) and A2E (Access to Energy) applications.

  • You will develop architectures for IT & OT data management, analytics & BI

  • You are responsible for all aspects of the solutions engagement, including architectural design and driving proof of value / proof of concept

  • You are responsible for the evaluation and dissemination of innovative technologies

  • You are a trusted technology advisors for Siemens businesses influencing their innovation, strategy and adoption of proven technologies

  • You keep up-to-date with IoT and Big data market trends and competitive insights

  • You coordinate the Analytics software implementation in close collaboration with the architecture and software development team in Portugal


What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar

  • Excellent business/requirements analysis skills

  • Understanding of IoT/big data & advanced analytics technologies, business drivers, and emerging technology trends

  • Proficient in technologies required to build data architectures

  • Good understanding of data modeling, data mining, data science, data exploration etc.

  • Good understanding of technologies required for analytics of structured, IoT & text data

  • Good understanding of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, knowledge graphs.

  • Experience in service development and consulting

  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies

  • Excellent communication skills

  • You have a strong sense of teamwork, with ability to both build and work with virtual teams in cross-group collaborative scenarios

  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
