About our group
The Systems modelling and Analog Electronics group in India works on the development of surrogate models for complex
physical systems and on realizing high-performance systems using high precision analog electronic designs.
You, as part of our team, are responsible for:
providing analytical solutions for domain-agnostic systems
understanding system-level requirements and breaking them down into cascaded sub-system requirements
driving end-to-end development of solutions requiring application of cross-domain concepts
all levels of interaction with customers, project management and timeline adherence
conceiving and driving innovative ideas
Desirable candidate
With a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in any branch of engineering with 7-10 years of suitable experience
Should possess a good understanding of fundamental physics concepts and should be able to describe the physics
of a system with mathematical formulations, intuitive (analogous) models, as well as in spoken languages with equal
Should be hands-on with prototype development involving electrical/mechanical/software design
Should have a comfort level in coding/scripting
Must have an aversion to repeated and manual tasks
Knowledge of modelling tools like MATLAB/Simulink/Open Source Libraries is appreciated
Should be able to execute multiple roles such as: technical design, handling customers, managing projects etc.)
Should have technical skills/experience in
Low-level interfacing of software with hardware
use of high-level graphical programming tools to implement real-time computation tasks
digital logic; analog interfacing, amplifiers
measurement and sensing, electromagnetic and optical transducers
control of mechatronic systems.
What else do I need to know?
This job opening involves designing or optimizing systems through the formulation of analogous models or reduced order
models across a variety of domains relevant to Siemens business interests. You will work in a technology-focused, but a
domain agnostic environment. The job demands quick adaptation to new domains and solving design challenges associated
with them. Your ability to apply fundamental concepts in physics, and adeptness to use mathematical tools such as
differential equations, statistics, etc. shall prove as very important assets for this job.
