Presales Consultant QMS


The Presales consultant should support the sales process by preparing and delivering presentations and demonstrations of the capabilities of our solutions to customers based on customer business and technical requirements. The consultant collaborates with sales, service and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.

The Presales Consultant QMS will be focused on our Quality Management software (IBS QMS) that is part of our MOM portfolio. Will report to the EMEA MOM Presales Manager.


Experience with Quality Management Systems (FMEA, Inspection Planning, Statistical Analysis, Traceability, Lessons Learned, Concern & Complaint Management, CAPA) and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM)

Experience with Discrete Manufacturing Industries (e.g. Automotive, Automotive First Tier Supplier, CNC Job Shop, Electrical and Home Appliances etc)

Good consultancy and presales skills (presentations, demonstrations,…)

Proficient in spoken and written English, other European languages are an asset.

Able and willing to travel on a frequent basis within the EMEA region

The location can be anywhere in EMEA, language skills are however essential (fluent in English, preferably also French).

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Be skilled in presenting and demonstrating QMS in a sales pursuit, in the context of a particular customer’s business needs, with an emphasis on business value

Maintain a good level of understanding of QMS and MOM market in target industries, and of how MOM can address associated business challenges

Achieve a profit and productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the sales resources, market, and/or channel supported

Respond promptly and professionally to requests for support from Portfolio Development and Sales, maintaining a schedule of commitments. Support requests could include, demo, benchmarks, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) etc.

Work with customers in a consultative mode to assist in their deployments and further implementation of the solutions, including delivery of training

Competitive Analysis and feedback on market trends and development to the Portfolio Development and Sales Management

Have a clear and up-to-date understanding of QMS capabilities and limitations, and be able to clearly communicate to Product Development any gaps that have an impact on customer success and work effectively to achieve capability improvements

Qualifications, Accreditations & Knowledge

Educated to degree level in engineering or related technical discipline

Previous experience in Quality Management, MOM or MES solutions preferably in Discrete Manufacturing Industries (e.g. Automotive, Automotive FTS, CNC Job Shop, Electrical and Home Appliances etc)
Experience in PreSales or Service/consulting roles preferable in the software industry

You feel comfortable in all levels in a company you talk to project and department leaders as well as to the executives and C-Level.

Self-supporting, able to work without supervision, able to travel away for short periods

Proven ability to solve problems in difficult situations

An expert level in using Microsoft Office, a basic level in programming languages (HTML5, C#)
