Application Expert for the Project Management Platform iTWO.
iTWO is a project management platform which ideally supports the communication and collaboration with internal and external partners as well as virtual project teams.
This state of the art device independent cloud solution with role based mobile apps enables us integrating virtual data into physical cooperation to reduce non-conformances by improving collaboration. All required PM@Siemens capabilities with real time data access are covered in this platform.
The GS IT EM SO CSS Application Expert is the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for the application on IT side. He/she has to ensure the availability and stability of the application (commonly known as "keep the lights burning"). In case of issues or bugs, he/she is responsible for quick fixing and for finding an appropriate solution together with the development team (developers/software architects). If there are changes in the application environment, he/she has to react to them and take measures accordingly. The Application Expert decides about releases, e.g. which bug fix has to be delivered in which version. If there is ongoing development of change requests, he has to closely cooperate with the respective Project Expert in order to set up the best possible version plan.
Specifically, the GS IT EM SO CSS Application Expert has the following tasks:
SPOC for Power User concerning the related application
Perform application specific configurations
Perform 2nd level support (if 1st level could not solve the issue) and clarification of bugs
Check incoming service tickets, forward them to the related developer, if applicable, and find the best possible solution for the customer
Forward Change Requests to the application DMB (Demand Management Board)
Document and report outages
Analyze outages and perform measures in order to avoid issues in the future
Implement re-organizations in the application
Manage, coordinate and approve releases (bug fixes & change requests with responsible project manager)
Perform integration tests (also on the level of web services)
Support user acceptance tests
Maintain application-related documentation (SPOT, FACTS and ESOA Wiki)
Carry out performance analysis in case of issues in the related tools
Service Monitoring - Check log files and monitoring outputs
Identify measures to optimize the application service
Manage functional users
Maintain interfaces (only configuration updates, no implementation)
Manage quality (ensure compliance processes)
Execute security measures (CERT, ACP, Info Sec)
To fulfill the defined responsibilities the following skills are needed:
