Job Description

Siemens China Water Solution  is looking to fill a Project Engineering position.

The Engineering department is responsible for engineering of internally and externally manufactured equipment items, valves, and piping for systems involving multiple mechanical components along with coordination of all other engineering disciplines contributing to the project. The Project Engineer works with Project Managers, Process, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers to deliver equipments to projects in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.  Accuracy, completeness, efficiency and timeliness in are highly emphasized.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Engineers will work under assigned Project Managers to assist with completion of the following tasks and others as assigned

Assist Project Manager with bid activities (technical agreement review, manhour forecast, etc)
Review, coordinate, and expedite all project documentation, including drawings, mill certifications, ITP’s, WPS’s and PQR’s, calculations, and O&M’s 
Assist on  drawing tracking and expediting
Prepare, monitor, expedite and update engineering project schedules
Prepare non-conforming action reports (NCR’s)
Coordinate internal engineering activities for assigned projects
Assist Project Managers with preparation of project plans
Monitor equipment deliveries and manufacturing progress and report discrepancies to planned schedule
Monitor project man-hour expenditures against plan
Assist with maintenance of project files
Manage product or smaller system projects as assigned

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED (Skills, Knowledge, and Experience)  

Excellent engineering ability 
Ability to read and understand blueprints as well as ability to communicate with engineering staff and customers on a technical level
Ability to help coordinate delivery of projects on time and on budget 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to deal with multiple projects with minimum direction
Excellent time management skills and ability to be flexible in handling changing schedules and priorities 
About 60 days travel per year      
Strong English written and verbal skills for clear and effective communication 
3+ years experience in an industrial environment, in project engineering or in project management 
Position requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environment) or significant experience in Project Management and Engineering in a similar environment
