What are my responsibilities?

In this role, you lead logistic & production process improvement projects for Siemens DF MC Business Unit factories in China (motor and electronic factories). Doing so, you will use modern methods and approaches from the area of lean production, lean logistics and digitalization.

  • You will seek, share and institutionalize lean logistics and lean production best practices and standards for the factories and aim to bring logistic performance of China´s MC Factories to “world class level”.

  • You will lead and conduct regular value stream reviews in close collaboration with Logistics and Plant Operating leaders. Analyzing logistic and production control/planning processes in order to identify process weaknesses and develop solution suggestions how to resolve these process weaknesses.

  • Together with stakeholders from the business you will drive the implementation of these solutions. In order to bring the logistic performance to the next level and assure the team drives measurable business impact: Increased delivery reliability, optimized inventory levels, short lead times and optimized supply chain cost.

  • For your projects, you regularly communicate progress, status and issues to the business and factory leaders.

The role will be based in Nanjing, China. Functionally, you will be part of Siemens DF MC Business unit´s Global Manufacturing Excellence Value Chain Operations Team.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or Business administration
  • Several years of proven experience in Logistics and/or Production and in Process improvement

  • Knowledge and practical experience in applying methods of LEAN production and/or LEAN logistics

  • Strong project management and project leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate others and achieve results

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively to different levels of the organization

  • Willingness to travel for process improvement projects to the Chinese factories

  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
