Mission of Function:
Plans and executes sales targets and activities in selling assigned products or projects to customers in specified industries/ assigned OEMs in order to increase and to achieve defined commercial targets.
Specific feature of this position:
・Sales of Siemens Automation products and solutions to OEMs (machine builder). Key products to be sold are Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Industrial PC, Contactors, Industrial Network Products.
・Takeover of existing sales relationship from Sales Representative. (So this is not new Business Development, this is takeover existing business of about 500M yen sales volume/year)
・Manage customer relationship and manage technical backup support (which will be done from departments Business Development and Technical Consulting).
・Focused approach on customers: Limited number of customers (3 main customers), with a high share of Intra-logistics OEMs. Target customers are those customers that export a high share of their machinery.

・Plans sales volumes and potential of target customers.
・Provides Information via CRM for forecasts and planning.
・Analyzes and evaluates specific business opportunities for products/ solutions by analyzing mid-term investments of customers in this industry/ vertical market.
・Supports customers in integrating Siemens products into their product offerings by providing technical feasibility studies and also commercial cost-/ benefits analyses and calculations in order to demonstrate specific advantages of integrating Siemens products.
・Prepares and negotiates projects and proposals in cooperation with other involved professionals and management.
・Coordinates the realization of assignments, may coordinate and contribute to set up respective product developments, projects or services programs for the customer.
・May act as point of contact in commercial matters.
・Completes sales and revenue relates key reporting.
・Contributes to the development of an After Sales Service that is focused on customers’ needs.
・Japanese as mother tongue. Very basic English level is sufficient. Daily communication in Japanese. The applicant must speak and act like a native Japanese.
・Experience in Sales in Japan for several years. This is the key point. Sales mindset, not engineering mindset.
・Experience with Automation products/ solutions are beneficial, but are not a must. Dealing with Mitsubishi/ Omron/ Keyence automation products in the past would be beneficial. Training for Siemens automation equipment will be done after joining the company.
