Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

In the automation process, intelligent field devices are used as actuators and sensors. For the manufacturer-neutral parameterization of these field devices via a process control system, the FDI (Field Device Integration) technology was specified under IEC 62769-1: 2015. In the latest version of the FDI specification, the technology has now been improved by adding HTML5-based user interface plugins (HTML5-UIPs).

  • Your thesis is focused on the elaboration of a concept for the embedding of HTML 5 Plugins into the existing web interface of the Siemens process control system

  • Furthermore, you will put your developed concept to the test by using a prototype. This will provide the basis for incorporating the functionality into our products, which will later be available to our customers

  • The final documentation and presentation of the results are also part of your thesis
