It functions as an international network of expertise and as a global partner for technology and innovations. Through its R&D activities in Germany, the USA, China, India, Russia, Japan and Eastern Europe Corporate Technology helps secure the company's technological future and booster its competitiveness.

The Group of Hydrocarbon Exploitation & Turbo machinery at Corporate Technology Russia focuses its activities on Research and Development of novel technological solutions for power generation in the areas of Process Cycle Engineering, Aerodynamics, Heating and Cooling, Mechanical Integrity and Design. These activities also include the development and application of advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods for challenging turbo machinery problems, such as engineering simulations, automation of a simulation workflow, optimization, and advanced visualization.

What are my responsibilities?
  • Executing of R&D projects including communication with customers and presenting the results
  • Documenting the obtained R&D results in the form of reports or presentations
What do I need to qualify for this job?
  • MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Practical experience in the area of Turbo machinery (e.g. Gas / Steam Turbines, Compressors)
  • In-depth knowledge in thermodynamics / process cycles / diagnostic methods in power generation plants and heat recovery systems
  • In-depth knowledge in one or several areas: Fluid mechanics & Heat transfer, Rotational equipment, Gas Steam Turbines Components & Packaging, Reliability of Power Systems
  • Fluent Russian and English (knowledge of German is a plus)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Readiness to work in a team as well as individually
What would be beneficial?
  • In-depth knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with proven experience of working with CAD/CAE systems (e.g. ANSYS, NX, COMSOL, Star-CCM+)
  • Knowledge in acoustics, structural mechanics, fluid-structure interaction (FSI) etc.
  • Knowledge of DIN and ASME industry standards for designing turbomachinery components
  • Basic skills in scripting languages (preferably Python), High Performance Computing (HPC), and Linux-like systems
  • Basic skills in data analytics with Python (NumPy, SciPy)
  • Eager to learn new technology areas
  • Ability to switch between multiple tasks
  • International experience
