Technical Account Manager – Food & Beverage
Siemens DF & PD sales team are expanding. We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join the Food & Beverage sales team. The TAM will be home based but extensive travel will be required to cover accounts across the UK.
The (TAM) is the technical "sparring partner" of the F&B account managers but also cooperates tightly with the involved Siemens OEM and regional sales teams and also the F&B VSS HQ.
Generate additional product, system and solution business in F&B accounts
Create long-term customer loyalty on a technical level.
Support customers with consistent technical solutions
Enhance the technical interaction between OEM, SI and end customer in the value chain with the intention to optimize the Siemens position and end customer satisfaction (push-pull).
What are my responsibilities?
Support the F&B sales team in the presales phase and project acquisition.
Global rollout of VSS automation concepts with SI, OEM and end users
Planning and implementation of technical presentations, trainings and workshops
Prove functional concepts to the end user
The creation of customer specific drive and automation concepts
Provide technical feedback from the project experience in new concepts, products and systems to VSS HQ technical team
Coordination with the global OEM regarding the implementation of the customer specification
Drive the customer specification; analyse the project scope from technical, economical and risk perspective; clarifying the feasibility with internal and external parties.
Provide input for the clarification of technical, economic risks for the offer creation from Siemens engineering hubs or partners
Perform local plant audits and generate studies for the customer on how the Siemens F&B approach will generate quantifiable results.
What do I need to qualify for this role?
Sales/business development skills to directly interface with customer
Understands the technology and processes in the F&B segment
Understands and promotes the VSS F&B concepts
Ability to run product demos and presentations
In depth knowledge of DI products and F&B industry solutions
Project management skills
Can do intermediate complexity level configuration quotes.
A good understanding of the industry sector / market, its drivers, challenges, and likely future trends is desirable but not essential
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
The ability to manage resources, activities and time effectively
