Financial Analyst / Accountant



Join Siemens Industry Software’s Nordic Finance team in Solna as a Financial Analyst, reporting directly to the CFO, with responsibilities to include the following:


·      General Accounting (A/R, A/P, G/L, B/S, banks, cash flow, payments, reconciliations)

·      Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

·      Internal and external accounting (local GAAP and IFRS)

·      Intercompany handling and reconciliation

·      Month-end closing procedures (incl. accruals, deferrals, provisions)

·      Support to financial work flows

·      Handling and review of travel expenses

·      Interaction with shared service centres, SISW Corporate Accounting (global policies and procedures), Macro Hub (policies and procedures) and Regional Company in Sweden (local GAAP, VAT and tax)

·        Revenue and cost analysis

·        Support to internal customers within Sales, Services, Marketing and back office functions

·        Plan, forecast and support the CAPEX process

·        Manage the SLA (Service Level Agreement) process

·        Involved in yearly planning and monthly forecasting processes

·        Support Sales in revenue recognition issues



Required Knowledge/Skills and Experience


  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance or equivalent education

  • Minimum 5 years’ accounting/controlling experience in an international environment

  • Good financial local GAAP & IFRS statutory knowledge / FRG (Siemens)

  • Strong Excel skills required, SAP or similar ERP systems knowledge beneficial

  • Very good knowledge of spoken & written English; one or more Scandinavian languages desirable.

  • Detail and Action oriented; well organized

  • Ability to work independently as well as contributing actively in a team environment

  • Ability to take initiative; analytical & enjoy solving complex problems

  • Service minded with strong relationship building & communication skills
