Job Description

What are my responsibilities?
  • Perform all of the sales activities for the assigned territory.
  • Achieve or exceed the annual sales budget, while achieving growth and profit targets for the company and total customer satisfaction
  • Support current clients and partners in order to maximize and increase business opportunities
  • Manage all stages of new business development from prospecting and lead generation to proposal and closing new business
  • Identify and develop local system integrator and partners to increase adoption of RuggedCom products and to ensure successful implementation and support
  • Drive the specification of RuggedCom in OEM design, end user projects and standards
  • Ensure complete territory coverage by coordinating with the managers of the channel partners
  • Pro-actively generate new business in new markets and new customer bases
  • Make cold calls and off-site visits to gather information and maintain relationships with customers
  • Meet with customers and suppliers as needed to supplement sales calls and professionally represent the company
  • Maintain qualifications and technical education to support the sales function

What do I need to qualify for this role?
  • Five or more year's sales experience in utility networking, industrial networking, wireless networking, or a related or complementary field
  • Experience managing channel partners and integrator
  • Domain expertise in utility, industrial, defense & public safety or transportation markets
  • BS in Engineering or related discipline (optional but highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of Ethernet networking (optional but highly desirable)
  • Strong work ethic and high energy level
  • Must be an intelligent, articulate, independent thinker who can develop a sales plan to achieve the results as determined by Senior Management
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Comfort level and confidence in working with the executive level
  • Must be Fluent in one or more local languages and have excellent English language skills
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding quota in previous positions
  • Experience using consultative approach to complex sales, selling the value of a solution and not just the functionality of a product.
  • Good organizational skills, customer follow-up and cold calling skills
  • Strong Interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 50%), with no restrictions on travel to Canada
  • Ability to generate and qualify leads and manage project pipeline from pre-proposal through implementation
