Siemens small gas turbine manufacturing company, Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery Ltd, has existed on its present site in Lincoln for over 50 years.  Lincoln is the base for the design and manufacture of world class gas turbines for applications within the Oil and Gas Industry and Industrial Power Generation (cogeneration).


Spend a year with us on our Intern Development Programme which is designed to give you a solid foundation to help you with your degree and future career. You will interact with senior management, develop teamwork and learn presentation skills (like how to create structure and deliver killer presentations).


The challenge

We have a number of different exciting opportunities in our Lincoln office, you will be asked to specify in your application which roles you would like to be considered for, below is a short summary of each:

Portfolio Management

  • Participating in challenging projects covering all aspects of our business

  • Assisting in competitor assessments

  • Developing your knowledge and investigation of new market opportunities

  • Conducting commercial and business case studies

  • Preparing new product launches

  • Carrying out market analysis for the business

Strategy & Portfolio

  • To provide executive support to Senior Management coordinating cross functional initiatives in support of Lincoln SGT Site and Service management

  • Working closely with the Head of Strategy on business development, interpreting and analysing trends and drafting reports


The candidate

We’re looking for bright, inquisitive students who want to make a difference. The ideal person:

• Studying for a relevant degree and on track to pass with a 2:2 or higher in Engineering, Scientific, or Economics degree
• Flexible, know how to connect with others and pride yourself on bringing positive, bright ideas to the team
• Feel comfortable working and reporting at all levels of a multidisciplinary team
• Enjoy jumping in and, with support from us, feel confident taking responsibility for tasks and projects you’ve been assigned
• Excellent presentation and leadership skills
