Job Description

Overall responsibility / Mission

Reporting to the Technical Office Manager the CIS Installation Interfaces Engineer is accountable for:

  • Installation interfaces implementation coordination on shop drawing for SCADA, PIS PA subsystems.
  • As built drawing implementation and completion in coordination with installation subcontractors
  • Working with interface partners (CWJV and other TS LOTs) to clarify technical open points.
  • Conducting all necessary steps to identify technical issue and working with CIS offshore to mitigate issues.
  • Reporting on the status of works.

The CIS Installation Interfaces Engineer shall have an excellent knowledge of respective technical area.

He has a “problem solving” and “can do” mentality and can inspire and motivate others to follow his lead.

Measurement of success

  • Solving interfaces issues arising from installation and T&C.
  • Clear and concise technical reports.
  • Zero non conformance reports.
  • Support for installation and T&C running to schedule or ahead of schedule.

Objectives / main activities

  • Leading the onshore CAD Design team for preparing CIS shop drawings for RMTC approval and start installation onsite for subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Office Manager to align installation work accordingly.
  • To monitor and ensure the consistency of CIS design and installation interfaces.
  • Provide technical assistance to where ever required for CIS installation interfaces.
  • Coordinate the execution of detailed design activities onsite with offshore design team.
  • Coordinate CIS work priority and work schedule with the Installation Manager and the Scheduler to align with CWJV.
  • Conduct weekly site visits during installation stage with CIS installation team.
  • Organizing de-clash meeting with CWJV for installation work.
  • Report progress to the Technical Office Manager.
  • Ensure that all open points are closed.
  • Managing work priority for CIS onshore CAD team.
  • Review CIS onshore shop drawings according to existing site conditions.
  • Coordinate design and installation issues with offshore design team.
  • Coordinate CIS offshore Design work with onshore installation team.

Knowledge / Qualification

  • Degree Educated or similar in Electrical or Communications Engineering.
  • Five years work experience on Communication or Electrical Installation Project or similar.
  • Experienced in dealing with Installation and T&C teams.
  • Knowledge and experience in reading and understanding designs, installation principles NFPA standards.
  • Fluent in speaking and writing in English language.
  • Experienced in working in a multicultural environment.
  • CAD expertise
