Job Description

Siemens Mobility leader in Signalling and Railway Electrification  is searching an Engineer of Power Traction Suppley & System Engineering

Responsibilities and Tasks

- Preparation/Supervision of detailed electrical engineering drawings of electrical systems and components.

- HW and SW Engineering and Design of DC/AC Traction Power Supply (TPS) substations for electrical railway systems.

- Interface clarification and technical integration of all electrical systems within the substation.

- Creation of electrical wiring diagrams and manufacturing documents.

- Electrical calculation.

- Support of sales departments and project management during both, the bid phase and the project realization phase.

- Test and commissioning.

- Details design submission of AC, DC Traction Power Supply (TPS) substations for rail electrification systems.

-Interface clarification and technical integration of all electrical systems within the Bulk substation, Traction substation and Service substation.

-Technical management, planning and controlling of one’s own engineering work packages.

-Technical clarifications with sub-suppliers abroad.

-Individual contribution to reach the team goals.

 Minimum Requires:

 - Bachelor degree or above in Electrical Engineering, ideally in the field of power distribution, electrical control and protection system.

- Minimum 4 years’ experience working as a Design or Project Engineer within the Rail Electrification market, with TPS systems and optionally other railway related fields.

- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and experience of AC and DC rail electrification schemes, particularly distribution assets.

- Proficient in discipline specific EN, IEC, TSI standards.

- Electrical Power Engineering and Power Transmission and Distribution.

- Knowledge of High-Medium voltage technology with good understanding for system calculation, manufacture and installation matters.

- Knowledge of AC Load flow simulation tools e.g. ETAP, MV Filter plant design

-  Knowledge of digital protection relays, PLC Siemens S7.

-  Knowledge of measuring, control and supervisory systems.

- Experience in project realization, preferably in an international project environment.

- Good command of English and Spanish both written & spoken skills, some German skills will be an advantage.

Knowledge Desirable

- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of and experience with the following Siemens products is an advantage:

-              8DA10, 8DA11, 8DA12, NXPLUS and 8DJH Gas-insulated Switchgear (GIS), Simosec Air-insulated Switchgear.

-              Sitras® PCI thyristor rectifier.

-              Sitras® REC diode rectifier.

-              Sitras® DSG and CSG DC switchgear.

-              Sitras® PRO DC micro-processor protection relay.

-              Siprotec® AC protection relay.

-              Sitras® SCD short-circuiting device.

-              Sitras® SCS station controller.

- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and experience designing control circuitry for similar products than those listed above is an advantage.

- Knowledge in project execution.

- Intercultural Experience.
