R&D Project and Product Cost Controller


 


Missions:


  • Work as the partner of R&D manager and project managers, take full responsibility of R&D cost and project controlling;

  • Ensure on time on budget on quality accomplishment of all commercial tasks per milestone and quality gate of R&D projects;

  • Drive R&D related productivity improvement along product lifecycle.


 


Responsibilities:


  • Work together with PrM. PM on R&D projects from project initiation till massive production, prepare calculation and commercial documentations according to Siemens PLM process and guildelines.                                                                                    

  • Set up internal order or WBS structure in SAP, closely monitor R&D projects implement status, ensure timely and correct cost booking per project and per WBS element/internal order. Discuss with PM and escalate when necessary for risk control of over budget and project delay.                                                                                         

  • Check and approve R&D related purchase requests and purchase orders on daily basic.       

  • Issue billing to HQ and other contractual bodies to get refund on monthly or quarterly basis.                                                                                         

  • Prepare JV to Finance for cost transfer from other CC to R&D projects on monthly basis.    

  • Prepare R&D cost reports on monthly basis, both cost center view and project view, review with PM, analyze the variance planning vs. actual and report to R&D manager and commercial department manager.                                                                               

  • Work with PM and other colleagues to proactively drive productivity improvement along product lifecycle, support PUMA calculation and conduct best practice sharing from project to project aiming for better cost position while maintain reliable quality and smooth supply chain                                                                                         

  • Communicate with counterparts in HQ and local BU PLM setup, provide required information/answers on timely basis, organize upfront review meeting with R&D manager and commercial department management if necessary.                                         

  • Contract management in R&D field, including Frame Agreement and Individual Agreement with HQ, Service Level Agreement with other Siemens Affiliated Companies.           

  • R&D hourly rate calculation and timesheet checking.                                                                     

  • Other adhoc tasks from commercial department manager                                                           


 


Requirements:


  • Over 5 years experience in financial fields, multinational manufactory company with R&D/PLM  controlling function preferred                                                                                

  • Education in Accounting and Finance preferred

  • Advanced in R&D cost and project Controlling                                                                                 

  • Advanced in PLM Process                                                                                        

  • Advanced in EVA, Capex and Product Cost Calculation                                                                   

  • Basic in Tax and legal, contract management, productivity and lean, USGAAP/IFRS, PRC GAAP

  • SAP and MS office

  • Have lean awareness and know basic lean method: e.g. 7 wastes,5s,A3,Process Mapping   

  • Quality awareness based on ISO 9001 requirement.
