Installation Project Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Project Realisation function within Siemens Healthineers. This Project-focused role will manage system installation projects within targeted cycle times, financial plans and resource limitations, whilst achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. In addition to this you will handle technical and planning advice from the sales phase through to system handover, contributing towards continued profitable growth.
With responsibility for a region and a number of active projects at any one time, the role holder has autonomy and responsibility for actions. A flexible approach to both travel and working days / hours is required in order to meet both project plans and customer expectations. A reasonable planned approach to weekend and evening work is sometimes necessary.
The Installation PM is an integral part of the Healthcare business, interfacing and forming key internal relationships with sales colleagues, customer service engineers, applications specialists and commercial partners. In addition, the job holder develops relationships with building contractors and business partners. From a customer and clinical system user perspective, the PM is the key contact from initial order to system handover. Need to communicate effectively at all levels.
Manage the process, activities and work packages from customer order through to system handover. Manage multiple projects, simultaneously, achieving targeted project outcomes.
Prepare agree and issue project programs. Key dates and milestones to be managed in coordination with all stakeholders, specifically system producers / factory. Minimise inventory and ensure accurate revenue forecasting
Manage project costs and resource, both internal and external, within plan. Deliver to contractual commitments, managing change controls where relevant.
Liaise and work with all contributing parties, both internally and externally on the customer's side. Achieve high level of customer satisfaction at the point of system handover.
Responsibility for, and compliance to, Health and Safety documentation and requirements. Includes preparation and issuing of method statements and risk assessments
Manage equipment transfers in a clinical / hospital environment, including issuing timely quotations.
Provide sales support through pre order site surveys. Provision of technical drawings, access routes and room layout. Confirm acceptability of equipment for proposed location and advise enabling works required.
Attend, and sometimes chair, on site project and planning meetings. Provide guidance and advice on room planning, preparation and requirements, ensuring electrical standard compliance.
Attend system deliveries as the responsible person on site. Ensure site method statement and all Health and Safety requirements are followed. Oversee and manage events.
Report project status and results. Feedback lessons learnt and advise corrective actions
Skills and Attributes required to perform in the role:
Background or experience in electrical engineering would be valued as would experience in Project Management methodologies and managing projects
Electrical Installations, Project Management
Lead and influence project teams and contributing stakeholders whom are not direct reports
Awareness and experience of working with all
An Engineering background or experience in the Diagnostics Industry would be beneficial
Project Management experience and / or qualification such as APMP
Methodical and organised in approach. Is proactive, plans and thinks ahead
Self-reliance and motivation. Acts on initiative, takes responsibility
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to deal with customers and staff at all levels.
A high degree of computer literacy with knowledge relating to currently approved software, operating systems and configuration.
