Siemens Digital Factory and Process Industries and Drives (based in Manchester) provide innovative solutions for UK industry - we optimise our customers’ processes, maximise productivity and reduce energy costs with our product range of automation equipment and totally integrated solutions for the global community/industry that will support and sustain the environment, and address global challenges. This Degree Apprentice program lasts for approximately 5 years, during which time you will gain the necessary skills to enter into a number of roles including those of project engineering, technical support, sales and field operations (service & support).
During your time with us, you will work towards:
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
- HND Electrical & Electronic Engineering (day release).
- BEng (Hons) in Automation & Control - A new and unique top-up degree solution delivered in conjunction with the University of Salford that includes our own Siemens Certified PLC Programmer Accreditation.
This programme is designed to allow you to experience work in a broad range of departments with a rotational placement programme so that relevant knowledge is built up; giving you the experience and skills necessary for the roles we are looking to fill. The latter end of the programme is where you will have an opportunity to choose a career direction and as such have a dedicated final placement in your chosen field.
To qualify for this role you must have:
Two A Levels / A2: Grades A*-C or equivalent (at least one must be Maths or Physics).
We also welcome applications from those with a BTEC Level 3 certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least a DDM grading.

What else do I need to know?
This apprenticeship scheme is recognised by the IMechE and the IET and leads to professional registration (EngTech/IEng) with the Engineering Council UK.
